| QUINTUS MCREEDY - U.S. SPECIAL FORCES IN BAGHDAD | ||||||||
![]() Most people customize a figure first and then make a diorama to suit the figure. As odd as I am, I went the opposite route and made Quintus to go with the Standoff at Baghdad Diorama. If there're any signs that the toy industry in the United States is rapidly changing, BBI's latest figure is all the proof you need. BBI changed out their G3.5 heads with a new modified neckpost starting with their latest German Obergefreiter figure. The heads no longer have a neck and have a lot more articulation. Similar to Volks Neo and Goh Guy heads, the new modified heads from BBI have so much more articulation than any other standard military figures out there. BBI's newest head and neck mods have now made their bodies rank way up there with Volks' (which is currently the #1 articulated 1/6 body on the market). Excellent decision BBI.
Quintus sports the new BBI German Lieutenant head. I glued rabbit fur on for his hair and beard. Hands are from BBI Jerry Ellis, vest and rifle is from DML Cody. All of his other gear are standard BBI and DML stuff I had loose lying around. I weathered Quintus pretty heavily using acrylic paint, model sand, white, cream and brown pastel chalk and real dirt. I also bought a pretty cool Japanese "military pose" reference book so some of the cool poses you see here were a result of that.
