SNAKE PLISSKIN

In what I consider Kurt Russell's most memorable role ever, Snake Plisskin is the epitome of badasses. He has influenced a whole host of knock-off films and even named and deserved several memorable mentions in other books, films and even video games (Metal Gear anyone?).

Snake presented only a mild challenge for several reasons. Though most of the items you see on Snake are readily available by the major manufacturers, they had to be modded and customized to some degree to exact those used by Snake in the film.

Snake is sporting a Jim Maddox sculpt from Frontline.  I painted his head as usual and even added the leather eyepatch.  His two handguns are modded CY girl fare as well as the holsters.  The large overcoat is from BBI's Colossus figure.  His flack jacket/vest is also from the Colossus figure, but I modified it to carry extra fire power. Of course it didn't look that that in the film, but I just felt that it needed that little "Dawgy" touch which I add to all my figures.  I also gave him some handsewn leather armbands and gloves.

The gun is a modded Perfect Dark machine gun. I just added a scope.  The boots are standard Dragon WWII boots which I added leather straps and muddied up (as well as his gun) with acrylic paint.

I'm very proud of this figure. You can probably tell because I don't normally post a whole lot of pictures, but I just had to show off the level of detail I've put into Mr. Plisskin.

My Favorite Quotes from the movie:
"Snake . . . call me Snake."

"You better hope I don't come back alive."

"Let's play a little game of "Bangkok Rules."  Nobody draws until this can hits the ground."
